Event Guide

We’re gonna give the coolest little capital in the world, a convention to suit. Welcoming 100 of the best New Zealand based artists in a very intimate and concentrated event. We’re focused on quality over quantity, and guarantee a unique and memorable event for both artists and the public alike. Now at the gorgeous Old Dominion Museum; we've a little more space to expand things slightly, but without compromising the intimate feel that everyone loved so much last year.

**BE AWARE**- Artists are invited individually by ourselves, but if you wish to get tattooed you will need to contact the artist directly. The Wellington Tattoo Convention does not take bookings for artists. Please be aware, some artists may take bookings for the event and some may choose to only take appointments on the day (walk-ups) - it is wise to check with your chosen artist beforehand to avoid disappointment.

Each tattooist is hand-picked and individually invited by ourselves, giving you a fantastic opportunity to watch these highly talented artists practice their craft and/or get tattooed yourself.

The live stage will be buzzing all weekend with live music and entertainment, our friends at Fortune Favours will keep your beer glasses topped up, and we've a huge array of Halloween themed tricks and treats - including prizes for those best dressed, so be sure to turn up in your most gruesome! A selection of Wellingtons' finest food trucks will keep you fed, Good Fortune will be bringing the coffees, and we've the coolest little selection of retailers in our market space.

With award winning tattooists creating award winning tattoos we figured we need to hand out some trophies! At the end of each day we’ll be dishing out prizes for the best work, as well as a comprehensive competition at the end of Sunday.

It’s still early days, and we've loads more to announce! - Please subscribe to our mailing list to be kept up to date with all the latest news and updates!
